Following it’s Twilight predecessor, The Hunger Games is the latest young-adult-book-series-turned-movie-with-an-awesome-soundtrack. New tracks from Arcade Fire, The Civil Wars, Punch Brothers, and Neko Case fill out the album, due March 20th. We’ll talk more about the artists featured, and preview the contribution from The Decemberists.

OverEasy host Todd Berryman will feature the new album this week on Sunday - and just to make things more interesting, he’ll have a couple of chances for you to win tickets for the Chieftains’ March 6th Palladium performance, part of their 50th anniversary tour, exclusively in the morning edition of the show.  (In other words, this is a Sunday for which you’ll want to get up early, because this is a hot, hot ticket for a rare event.)

We’ll also play a track or two from one of the bands contributing to the new Chieftains recording, with songs from the just-released Punch Brothers album Who’s Feeling Young Now?, including a rather astonishing cover of something by Radiohead (believe it or not, “Kid A”).

This year, we’re going to have some fun with A To Z.  It’s the A To Z Secret Song Contest.

Here’s how it works. Every letter of the alphabet will contain a “secret song.” The only way you can find the secret songs is by stopping by the VIP Room .

Learn the songs, then listen to World Class Rock A To Z on 92-3 WTTS. When you hear a “secret song,” call 1-800-923-WTTS (9887). The ninth caller will win a pair of passes to a private Sun King Studio 92 performance with The Head & The Heart on March 9^th, and automatically qualify to win a trip for two to LA to see Coldplay live at the Hollywood Bowl on May 4^th.
