Philadelphia’s The War On Drugs released their third album, Lost In The Dream, on March 18th. For this record, central member Adam Granduciel approaced album construction differently. Instead of building the core of songs himself, he worked more with touring bandmates David Hartley and Robbie Bennett. “I wanted there to be a singular voice, but I wanted it to be a project of great friends. Everyone in the band cares about it so much,” Granduciel says. “That is the crux of it—growing up, dealing with life, having close friends, helping each other get by. That is what the record’s all about.” Download “Red Eyes” from Lost In The Dream and learn more about The War On Drugs at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter.

Bombay Bicycle Club

This past February, North London’s Bombay Bicycle Club released their fourth album in five years, So Long, See You Tomorrow, through Vagrant Records. According  to frontman and songwriter Jack Steadman, crafting the album took longer than usual. Most of the songs were written during his travels through India, Turkey, and Tokyo, as well as the UK and the Netherlands. Now that the album is complete, Steadman is pleased with the results, “I feel like we’ve found the balance between making it interesting and intelligent, but also not highbrow or elitist.” Download “Luna” from So Long, See You Tomorrow and learn more about Bombay Bicycle Club at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter.

James Vincent McMorrow
Irish singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow is back with his follow up to 2011′s critically acclaimed Early In The Morning. Regarding his sophomore release, Post Tropical, McMorrow states, “It’s so exhausting trying to keep up with styles of music that pop up one week, and disappear the next. For me, [the album] evokes a style of music without you having a clue what it sounds like. It’s warm and familiar, but there’s something there that’s maybe not quite what you think it is. I just wanted to make the most beautiful thing that I could imagine. And that was it.” Download “Gold” from Post Tropical and learn more about James Vincent McMorrow at his Official Website, “Like” him on Facebook, and follow him on Twitter.
