Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts

Former front man of Stone Temple Pliots, Scott Weiland is back with his fourth solo album, Blaster.  Recorded in 2014 with his backing band, The Wildabouts, Blaster was produced by Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motercycle Club). With a lot of space between the notes, the album came effortlessly because of the vibe between the musicians.  “The sound we were getting felt original and infectious and brought me back to the feelings I had when I made my first couple records. Just excitement, feeling invigorated. Youthful.”  Download “The Way She Moves” from Blaster and learn more about Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts at their Official Website, like them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter. Lucinda Williams

Lucinda Williams’ 11th album Down Where The Spirits Meet The Bone is the first record released on Williams’ Highway 20 Records. The two disc set of delta-infused country soul explores every musical crevice from love, death, sex, and redemption. When asked about the album Williams stated, “I felt really comfortable and happy when I was singing, and sort of on my toes a little, since I was working with a lot of new musicians, not just my regular band.” Some of those musicians include Jakob Dylan, Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello’s drummer), and Cracker bassist Davey Faragher. Peoples Blues Of Richmond
People’s Blues Of Richmond describe their sound as “heavy, psychadelic, loud, manic, emotion-driven rock n’ roll,” and their latest release Good Time Suicide is a reflection of that. The Richmond, Virginia-based three piece consists of lifetime friends Tim Beavers II (Vox/Guitar) and Matthew Volkes (Vox/Bass) as well as  Neko Williams (Vox/Drums), whose father, Drummie Zeb, played with the legendary reggae band The Waillers. “The whole concept behind People’s Blues of Richmond,” Beavers says, “is that we all struggle, we all experience pain. Life is full of highs and lows, and we all work hard to survive. So we do the only thing we know how—we get out on the road, and we keep moving forward. We become a part of something bigger than ourselves.” Download “Black Cat” from Good Time Suicide and learn more about People’s Blues Of Richmond at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter.
