Previously performing under the moniker Indian, Danish singer-songwriter Søren Juul will release This Moment June 17th. The album depicts his life over the tumultuous three year period after he released his debut album Somewhere Else. Juul moved from Copenhagen to New York and then Portland. When he did decide to go back home, he traded city life for the calm of Svendborg (an ancient coastal town in Denmark’s South Eastern corner). Juul wrote “Dear Child” about his world travels which were exhilarating but also isolating. “It’s a little bit about feeling guilty about not being there for the people back home,” Juul says. “Sometimes you can’t even promise when you’ll be back because you don’t even know.” Download “Dear Child” off This Moment and learn more about Søren Juul at his Official Website, “Like” him on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.

Caveman

Caveman is done being an indie rock band playing only for indie rock fans. In order to do this, frontman Matthew Iwanusa knew it was going to take a level of patience, precision, and quality that exceeded his previous work. While on tour, Matthew started writing songs in the back of the tour van on a mini keyboard and laptop. He spent years rewriting the tunes until they were ready to be brought into the studio, where the band continued to redefine them until they were all in agreement. The end result is a brand new sound. Download “Never Going Back” off Otero War and learn more about Caveman at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.

Oscar 1

Being born into a musical family and growing up in the musical hotspot that is North West London, Oscar Scheller was destined to become a musician. From the beginning, Oscar absorbed the music of his parents.  They fronted the pop band The Regents, and later his father produced early Acid House records. This upbringing helps Oscar effortlessly blend many musical styles together with his signature baritone vocals. Kevin Morby moved from New York to Los Angeles in 2014 and instantly received a gift. The previous tenet had left behind an upright piano with a few sheets of music, including an introductory book of common chords. This was perfect since Morby was a beginner on the instrument and had always wanted to learn how to play. Quickly he picked up the basics and began composing the songs that would form his third studio album, Singing Saw. When video of Eric Garner’s death surfaced, Morby became distraught. This was another example of a thoughtless killing in our society that overwhelms our past and present. Morby knew he had to voice his opposition and penned “I Have Been To The Mountain” in dedication of Garner.
