People’s Blues Of Richmond describe their sound as “heavy, psychadelic, loud, manic, emotion-driven rock n’ roll,” and their latest release Good Time Suicide is a reflection of that. The Richmond, Virginia-based three piece consists of lifetime friends Tim Beavers II (Vox/Guitar) and Matthew Volkes (Vox/Bass) as well as Neko Williams (Vox/Drums), whose father, Drummie Zeb, played with the legendary reggae band The Waillers. “The whole concept behind People’s Blues of Richmond,” Beavers says, “is that we all struggle, we all experience pain. Life is full of highs and lows, and we all work hard to survive. So we do the only thing we know how—we get out on the road, and we keep moving forward. We become a part of something bigger than ourselves.” Download “Black Cat” from Good Time Suicide and learn more about People’s Blues Of Richmond at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter.
