Free Download Of The Week: Jackie Greene

Jackie Greene

According to his official website Jackie Greene, “hailed as ‘the Prince of Americana’ by the New York Times, has always had a knack for capturing the human experience in all its messy, emotional complexity, and on his new EP, ‘The Modern Lives – Vol 1,’ he draws inspiration from some of the great social paradoxes of our 21st century world: that the technology designed to simplify our lives can actually complicate them in ways we’d never imagined, that the most crowded cities can actually be the loneliest places to live, that the constructs meant to connect us to each other can actually leave us feeling more isolated than ever.

Download “Modern Lives” off Modern Lives Vol. 1 any time between September 18th, and September 24th and learn more about Jackie Greene at his Official Website, “Like” him on Facebook, or follow him on Twitter.

Free Download Of The Week: Cigarettes After Sex

According to their record label, Partisan Records, “Cigarettes After Sex frontman Greg Gonzalez had a clear vision for his band’s debut album, a gorgeously cinematic work released on June 9, 2017. After the phenomenal online break-out success of ‘Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby’ and the subsequent re-discovery of an earlier Cigarettes EP (‘I.’) from 2012, the Brooklyn transplant (originally from El Paso) wanted to project his worldview on to a bigger screen, a broader canvas. As Greg explains, ‘This is like the novel or feature-length version of Cigarettes. I wanted it to feel like a complete work, where some of the imagery repeats – like it’s all in the same world. It’s very much a fulfillment of the feelings in the short works.’

Download “Sweet” off their recent self titled album any time between September 11th, and September 17th and learn more about Cigarettes After Sex at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook, or follow them on Twitter.
