Birmingham, Alabama-based sextet St. Paul & The Broken Bones released their full length debut , Half The City, this past February on Single Lock Records. The album was produced by fellow Alabaman Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes and was recorded and mixed in the storied R&B mecca of Muscle Shoals. Front man Paul Janeway explains the recording procedure, “We said, ‘We’re doing this as old-school as we can.’ We did it to tape. We did it live. What you hear is taken from about three takes, and we took the best take. I love it. It’s raw. You hear all the scrapes.” Download “Call Me” from Half The City and learn more about St. Paul & The Broken Bones at their Official Website, “Like” them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter.
