So how do you determine the top 50 list? And is there any way that I can have a copy of the top 50 lists from past years?

  2. BrianC says:

The “Top 50″ list is determined by airplay. The more times a song was played on WTTS this past year, the higher up it is on the list. Unfortunately, we don’t have lists from past years.

  3. Dave Gotshall says:

I still think that Mercy by Dave Matthews was the song of the year and I am only a sort of Dave Matthews fan. That isn’t based on how often it played but the wonderful merging of music and lyrics in that song. Keep up the good work. I love the station.

  4. Pete says:

I applaud WTTS on recognizing airplay as the different way to to do a top 50 list. I can report independently if that was done in the past Gomez – See The World would have been # 1 not one year but two in 2006 and 2007. Someone I know had a track bot excel program counting plays by the macro bot. That song was played insanely over 2 years although I still love it. Cannot say I am pumped by this list but at the same time I welcome the independent station being just that as I am independent to get my music from many other sources. I do not see eye to eye with it but then again I burned out on this music 6 years ago but not completely.

    Great list!
