The best from the independent music scene, yet again, this week on WTTS Indy Underground. A.C. Newman’s solo career picks up again October 9th. We’ll explore his third release, Shut Down The Streets, which features contributions from frequent co-collaborator Neko Case.

Also this week, Yeasayer’s newest Fragrant World (again released on Bloomington-based Secretly Canadian), and a new one from Freelance Whales. All this and more, tonight at 8 on WTTS Indy Underground.

Emerging from the pubs and clubs of their hometown Leeds, England in 2009, The Dunwells are brothers Joseph Dunwell (vocals, guitar) and David Dunwell (guitar, piano, banjo) along with cousins Jonny Lamb (vocals, drums) and Rob Clayton (bass) and longtime best mate Dave Hanson (guitar, pedal steel). Their debut album Blind Sighted Faith drops on August 28th. Check out the video for the lead track off the album, “I Could Be A King”
