White Stripes Reunion? No Chance.

White Stripes Reunion? No Chance.

Jack White told NME Magazine that the only way he will reunite the White Stripes is if he went bankrupt. White said that he informed his former bandmate, Meg White, that he eventually would want to record and release music under his own name and that he wanted them to officially put an end to the project. White is now preparing to release his debut album, Blunderbuss, under his own name.

Enjoy Jack’s video for “Love Interruption” below:

We’ve talked about it for months now, but a day ahead of the official release date for The Shins Port of Morrow, we finally have the thing in our hands. Before you run out and grab your own copy, listen this week to WTTS Indy Underground for our most definitive, in-depth preview yet.

In between the multiple Shins tracks, we wont ignore the new Beach House, or the contribution Arcade Fire made to The Hunger Games.

Also, listen for a chance to win a pair of tickets to Portugal. The Man at a WTTS and MOKB show April 16th at the Vogue. All this and more, tonight at 8 on WTTS Indy Underground.

WTTS New Music Monday – March 19, 2012

After an EP in 2010, and a slight interruption when half the band toured a side project called Mt. Desolation, the English quartet Keane has rejoined both halves to give its signature piano-driven style another go. May 7th will mark the release of Strangeland, and this week will mark its first appearance on WTTS New Music Monday.

Also, with shows coming up down the road for Bonnie Raitt (May 16, Clowes Memorial Hall) and Great Lake Swimmers (June 21, Radio Radio), we wanted to be sure you had been exposed to their latest in case you were on the fence about buying tickets.

Norah Jones, John Mayer, Alabama Shakes, and many more. Every week at 7pm, it’s an hour of all-new world class rock on WTTS New Music Monday.
