WTTS OverEasy, February 5, 2012

2 Comments 03 February 2012

On this week’s edition of OverEasy, Todd Berryman commemorates February 5th, 2012 – a big day in Indianapolis history, in which our town becomes The Little Engine That Could.  New England and New York face off, and it isn’t as simple as who has the best chowder this time.

Oh, it’ll be the usual selection of what Louis Armstrong used to call “the good ol’ good ones” for you on the show, of course, but we’ll augment with a few songs appropriate to the day, plus feature a brand new EP by Amos Lee called As the Crow Flies, recorded with Calexico during the sessions that spawned the Mission Bell album, including at least one song that has a football metaphor or two.  It comes out on Valentine’s Day, but we’ll give you an early taste of it a week or so ahead of schedule.

Join us…it’s a big party on the OverEasy tip, and you’re invited, this Sunday from 7 to 11 am AND pm, on 92.3 WTTS.

Let us know what you’ve got cookin’ – literally and figuratively – for the day, say hi, and become a fan, at facebook.com/wttsfm and facebook.com/toddovereasy.

It was one of those perfect bits of luck: guy we like prepares new EP, and it has a football metaphor in one of the tracks. Sometimes the cosmos comes knocking, and you’ve gotta run with it.

Glad to have you with us today! -tb.
