The Rolling Stones’ frontman, Mick Jagger, will be producing and starring in an upcoming conspiracy thriller movie, Tabloid. He will reportedly play the role of a media mogul who makes questionable ethical choices. Jagger’s film company, Jagged Films, produced The Women in 2008. Jagger is also reportedly in talks with HBO to produce a series with Martin Scorsece that would be based on record executives in the seventies. The untitled show has a pilot episode written by Terrance Winter, who has written for Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos.
In addition to portraying someone that controls the media, Jagger has admitted that social media has some control over him. In an article featured in USA Today, Jagger said, “I spend way too much time on the computer and not enough time playing the guitar…There’s an underlying problem of this screen life taking over all of your life. It’s easy to keep in touch with people, some of whom I wish I’d never kept in touch with. But there they are on Facebook! You can spend a lot of time on that when you should be doing something else.”
We’re guilty of that too! If you’d like to keep in touch with WTTS on Facebook, you can find us here.
