The WTTS Live & Local Concert Series at The Rathskeller , sponsored by Sun King Brewing kicked off on January 14th with The Woomblies. First, the venue is a great place for a concert.  In the summer, they have the Biergarten with a small ampitheater outside.  In the winter, one of the massive ballrooms has an area with a small dance floor and a place for a band to set up.

I love the Rath, love the food, especially the wurst sampler plate (that’s sausage talk), and about 42 million kinds of beer. 

The Woomblies are no strangers to the Rathskeller, and Friday night they were awesome.  This band is a great band, and has versatility in their performance that makes them one of the best local bands around.  These guys play James Brown, Chris Isaak, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Buffett, and just about everything else from AC/DC to ZZ Top.  It was a great show.  If you missed this show, keep an eye on the band’s, or the Rathskeller’s websites, and check them out.
