The thousands upon thousands of diplomatic cables released through WikiLeaks recently have been headline news, but for the first time one of our favorite names has surfaced as part of the story, Eric Clapton. Word is, the guitarist is a favorite of the sons of North Korea’s infamous leader Kim Jong-Il. CNN reports a 2007 cable describes a suggestion from the North that a Clapton concert in Pyongyang might build good will with the U.S. But, there’s no evidence that the proposed concert ever went further than that suggestion.
