
It would not be the first film of John Belushi’s life, but it would be the first Belushi’s widow, Judith, supports, and is even participating in as the executive producer. In 1989, just seven years after Belushi’s overdose, the first film of the comedians life was released against the will of his family. Now, Todd Phillips, director of The Hangover and screenwriter of The Pursuit of Happiness, Steven Conrad are teaming up to produce a new biopic. Still no word on whether fellow comedian and House of Blues Radio Hour host Dan Aykroyd among other prominent figures from Belushi’s life will contribute.
