WTTS New Music Monday — July 5, 2010

1 Comment 04 July 2010

This week on WTTS New Music Monday, John Mellencamp takes us back to rock’s roots with his new release No Better Than This. Using only a 55-year old tape recorder, Mellencamp traveled to some of music’s most historical landmarks to create this gem. We’ll have your first listen. Also on WTTS New Music Monday, new ones from singer-songwriters Jakob Dylan and Alejandro Escovedo and veterans Heart and Crowded House. We’ll round it out with songs from Keane and Carney. Every Monday night at 7, it’s an hour of all-new World Class Rock.

Here’s a video from John Mellencamp’s 2008 album Life, Death, Love and Freedom.

It’s called “A Ride Back Home”, and was shot at Indiana University’s Beck Chapel. Whether you love or hate that piece of trivia (depending on your school preference), it’s still a great song.

LOVE the new Ray LaMontagne song. I certainly can’t wait for the album. Thanks for doing such a great job at the station. It’s the only one I listen to anymore!
